Hi. I'm Christy. It's nice to meet you.

I am so glad that we have crossed paths, even if for a moment. Here is a short list of things I have no business doing: authoring a book, speaking to audiences, and walking with others in their healing. Yet, where I am weak God’s grace is sufficient.
I believe that freedom begins when we realize that our lives don’t have to stay in their current state anymore. Whenever we finally admit the truth, instead of persistent avoidance, the chains begin to fall off.
Whether on the page or on the stage, my goal is the same: to create space for honesty, renewal, and forward movement. I want people to leave feeling seen, strengthened, and equipped with language for their healing. Everything I create is anchored in the belief that freedom is not a moment. Freedom is a process that, when grounded in truth and faith, becomes sustainable.
I believe healing is not found in striving harder or pretending everything is fine. It is also not spiritually bypassing pain. True restoration requires integration of proven methods, both professional and faith based, that bring the full story into the light and allow Jesus into the situation. Healing, as I teach it, is rooted in Christ and marked by honesty, wisdom, and a willingness to confront what has been buried. It is not about perfection; it is about becoming whole.
I authored, along with substantial help from the Lord, Escape Artist: The Fight for Freedom From Trauma. The book was born from years of wrestling with the internal “locks” that kept me bound. The patterns, beliefs, wounds, and unspoken narratives that quietly dictated how I lived. Escape Artist teaches readers to recognize those locks, receive the keys, and begin the sacred work of unlocking freedom with intention and faith.
Escape Artist is for those who have spent seasons simply surviving and are now ready to live with intention, ownership, and purpose. My heart is for those who sense there is more available to them, but who need a safe and grounded way to understand what has held them back and how to move forward without losing themselves in the process. It can all be summed up with one sentence:
You’ve been through Hell, but there’s a way out.
